In 2003 he joined the Salk Institute to engage in research projects on therapeutic targets for Alzheimer\u2019s disease. He has so far published 20 scientific papers that have been cited over 2,000 times.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Ever since September 2016, Dr. Dziewczapolski began a new chapter in his career as Scientific Director of Cure CMD. In his new role, he oversees the annual grant program of the Cure CMD Foundation, focused on finding treatments for the entire range of congenital muscular dystrophies, organizes and participates in scientific conferences in the same field and aims to become a link between patients and their families, regulatory bodies that assess new treatments and the medical and scientific community that researches, tests and designs therapies to improve the quality of life and, eventually, find a cure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Gustavo is proud dad of two beautiful girls, Tatiana (11) and Rafaela (8), who inspire and energize him every day.
