London Congress

On the weekend of the 26th – 27th of September we took part in a congress hosted by Muscular Dystrophy UK in London. Speakers at the congress included researchers who study different kinds of muscular dystrophy and also affected families.

We had the chance to speak to Dr. Reghan Foley, from the National Institute of Health, Maryland (USA), an expert researcher in the field of congenital muscular dystrophy with collagen VI deficiency. She was aware of the existence of our foundation and told us about the ongoing research projects and about those that could be implemented with the appropriate funding. All these projects could bring us closer to a cure.

We had a very nice welcome from the scientists, who really appreciated our initiative. Such displays of enthusiasm encourage us to carry on with our fight.

We are also deeply grateful for the support we received from Anna and Gerard, who were with us throughout the whole weekend and made us feel welcome in London. Thank you!
