Fundación Noelia manages to finance the second phase of the Crispr project

From the Noelia Foundation we have made a second donation of €45,600 to the Sant Joan de Deu Hospital (Barcelona) which allows us to continue with the CRISPR research project led by Dr. Cecilia Jimenez.

This payment completes the financing of €91,200 over two years agreed with the Hospital Sant Joan de Deu and Dr. Cecilia Jimenez starting in July 2021.

The project entitled “PERSONALIZED MEDICINE FOR CONGENITAL MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY DUE TO COLLAGEN VI DEFICIENCY” aims to find a therapy that allows correcting mutations in the affected genes in Congenital Muscular Dystrophy due to Collagen VI deficiency, a disease without a cure or treatment to date. today.
